ROMANS 5:9-11 (NIV) 9. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10. For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11. Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
WE ARE SAVED THROUGH HIS LIFE:
As believers our salvation lies in the blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection life. As believers we are forgiven and reconciled to God through the death and resurrection of Jesus. This experience is the believer's initial salvation meaning the new believer is now born again. Look what Jesus stated in John 3:3 (NIV) In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
A believer continues to be saved by having a living faith and union with the living Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit and by spending time in prayer and God's Word. We know from reading and studying the Word of God that if God loved us enough to send His Son to die for us while we were sinners, now that we are God's children He will provide for us through His promises in the Word.
Yes we serve a risen and living Lord and Savior who is at God's right hand to make intercession for us. He and the Father sent the Holy Spirit so His followers would be empowered to carry out the Great Commission and God's Plan for mankind.
Praise the Lord!! Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6-7).
